Project Management

Balpara appoints a senior staff member as project manager, it is their role to:

• Assign a senior draftsperson to independently check all drawings
• Ensure that budgets and timelines are met
• Provide daily progress reports to structural manager or chief draftsperson
• Communicate with the client regarding requests for information (RFIs)
• Carry out projects in accordance with Balpara’s quality management system
• Supervise the overall coordination of the project
• Issue drawings
• Assist the client wherever possible to achieve effective solutions promptly.

In doing so, the project manager will personally supervise drafting activities, attend to queries raised by the client and also ensure that a high degree of professionalism is maintained at all times

A Different Approach - Saving Valuable Project Time

Balpara can be engaged in a consultancy capacity, on behalf of the client, to act as a liaison between the engineers, architect and any other parties, as required.

We can attend workshops and show the structural steel 3D model, to support conceptual ideas from the architect and engineer, and assist trades, such as cladding and mechanical contractors -  making sure all relevant disciplines work collaboratively and efficiently.

Working directly for the builder, alongside the architects and engineers, means a more streamlined detailing approach. Usual time consuming issues can be pre-empted and resolved pro-actively and quickly.

A high degree of accuracy provided by a survey team, along with the ability to accurately model the survey data in Tekla Structures, allows for a high level of preparation for the interfacing of new steel requirements and existing structural elements. This process can reduce project delivery times significantly.
